Frequently Asked Questions
Are you accepting new patients?
Yes. I’m happy to take on new patients at this time.
Do you have a physical office to see clients in?
Yes, my office is located on Manhattan, as well as New Haven, CT. I offer in-person as well as online sessions via HIPPA-compliant video.
May I contact you prior to scheduling an appointment? I’m not sure this is right for me.
Absolutely. You can call or email me to schedule a 15min phone consultation at no charge so that I can understand your issues and discuss any questions or concerns that you may have.
How long are your sessions?
Initial consultation sessions are 60 minutes. Follow-up sessions are typically 30 or 60 minutes depending in the treatment approach.
How frequent will my sessions be?
Medication follow-up sessions are typically scheduled every 1-2 months, but sometimes follow-up sessions are scheduled 2 weeks apart early in the course of treatment, for example, after a new medication is started or a medication is changed.
Psychotherapy sessions can be scheduled once weekly or more frequently depending on the type of treatment we mutually decide to pursue.
What can I expect from my first session?
You will have my undivided attention. I will ask questions that allow me to get to know you better and help guide the treatment. By the end of the session, I will discuss my understanding of the issues and provide treatment recommendations. These may evolve and change over time as we continue to work together. You will have time to ask any questions you may have. Sometimes the initial evaluation may require more than one session
Do you accept insurance?

What is your cancellation policy?
I value and respect your time and expect the same in return. I keep a 48 business hour cancellation policy and will charge a full session’s fee for missed appointments or cancellations without adequate notice.
What are your hours?
My hours are somewhat flexible and I will try my best to meet with clients outside of their busy work schedules if that is needed.
